System conditions

Electricity needs are served in DKI Jakarta Province of energy transfer from the Java-Madura-Bali (Jamali) interconnection system as the main supplier through SUTET network (500 kV) and SUTT (150 kV and 70 kV), in addition to the supply of PLTU-PLTGU Muara Karang and Priok. Jamali system in a condition of “Alert”.

Currently electrification ratio of Jakarta has reached 100.00% and the ratio of electrified villages by 100.00%.

Balance of Power

Province of DKI Jakarta, Banten, West Java, Central Java, DI. Yogyakarta, East Java, and Bali have been well interconnected on electric power transmission lines 150 kV and 500 kV are known by the name of the Java-Madura-Bali  Interconnection System. Thus, the balance of power throughout the province represented by the balance of power of Java-Madura-Bali interconnection system, where in 2010 and 2011 systems are in good condition, whereas in 2012, 2013 and 2014 the capacity of the system can not meet peak loads that exist so that experiencing deficit.

Additional Electricity Infrastructure Plan

The assumption of population growth in Java Madura, Bali an estimated 1% per year and GDP growth for the same period is projected at 6.1% per year, so assuming the electric energy demand growth is expected to grow at an average of 10.0% per year.

In an effort to meet the needs of electric power in the Province of Jakarta, it has been planned additional electricity infrastructure from the year 2010-2014 as follows:

  • Power plants of 1437 MW (about 694 MW is expected to be operational in 2010)
  • Transmission of electric power into the recap of Banten province.
  • Substation recap the parent entry in Banten province.
  • new renewable energy program (EBT) and network:
    • PLTS 50 WP is spread as much as 300 units
