Currently electrification ratio of Banten Province reached 63.90% and the ratio of electrified villages is 99.33%. The waiting list has reached U.S. $ 40.340 request or at 304.9 MVA.

Balance of Power
Province of DKI Jakarta, Banten, West Java, Central Java, IN. Yogyakarta, East Java, and Bali have been well interconnected on electric power transmission lines 150 kV and 500 kV are known by the name of the Java-Madura-Bali System Interconnection. Thus, the balance of power throughout the province, Represented by the balance of power of the Java-Madura-Bali interconnection system, where in 2010 and 2011 systems are in good condition, whereas in 2012, 2013 and 2014 the capacity of the system can not meet That peak loads exist so That experiencing deficits.

Additional Electricity Infrastructure Plan

The assumption of population growth in Java Madura, Bali an estimated 1% per year and GDP growth for the same period is projected at 6.1% per year, so assuming the electric energy demand growth is expected to grow at an average of 10.0% per year.

In an effort to meet the needs of electricity in the province of Banten, it has been planned additional electricity infrastructure from the year 2010-2014 as follows:
