Russia, Indonesia To Cooperate On Nuclear Power Projects

On Monday, November 16, 2015, Russian Minister Alexey Ulyukayev announced that Russia and Indonesia are likely to team up on significant projects in the very near future.

The official shared that one of the proposed projects concerns floating nuclear power stations. The Russian minister said that Indonesia is particularly keen to pursue further cooperation on floating nuclear power stations “that from the environmental point of view, as well as logistically are very attractive for an island country”. The statement comes after the Russian minster met with Indonesian Minister Thomas Lembong.
