PLN, Cikarang Listrindo ink deals with US firms to build power plants worth US$4.55 bln

State electricity company, PT PLN, has signed agreements with US companies to develop power plants with a combined value of US$4.547 billion. The agreements were signed on sideline of President Joko Widodo’s visit to the US.

The first agreement was signed between PLN and UPC Renewables worth US$850 million to develop a 350 MW of wind farms within three years (2015-2018, said a statement issued by the President’s communication team. The agreements are part of deals worth a total of US$20 billion signed during the President’s visit to the US.
