Nusantara Infrastructure Signs Up SN Power, Aboitiz for $376m West Sulawesi Power Plant

Nusantara Infrastructure, a listed infrastructure firm controlled by tycoon Peter Sondakh, has agreed to work with Norwegian firm SN Power and Philippine utility company Aboitiz to start preliminary work on a $376 million power plant in North Mamuju, West Sulawesi, the company said.

The hydr0-powered electricity plant will have a capacity of 127 megawatts, Nusantara Infrastructure corporate affairs general manager Deden Rochmawaty said on Monday.

“The move is part of the company’s strategy to get involved in President [Joko Widodo’s] infrastructure program and to bring in foreign investors that are competent in renewable energy,” Deden said.
