PLN signs EPC contract with Sumitomo for PLTU Lontar expansion project

The power plant will be built on 11 hectares of land, within the location of PLTU 3 Banten-Lontar, in Tangerang, Banten province.

The EPC contract was signed by Director for West Java Regional Business unit of PLN, Nasri Sebayang and General Manager for EPC Power No. 1 of Sumitomo Corporation, Yuji Watabe.

The construction of the project is expected to last for about 42 months.

Currently, PLTU 3 Banten-Lontar has three units with capacity of 315 MW each or a total of 945 MW. The electricity produced by the power plant is transmitted through 150 kV (SUTT) along 22 km to Teluk Naga Main Distribution Panel. The power plant is aimed to add electricity supply to Tangerang and Java-Bali area.
