Krakatau Steel to set up consortium to supply steel products for power plant projects

State-controlled steel maker PT Krakatau Steel Tbk (KRAS) has been appointed the government to supply steel and metal componets needed by the government in developing the 35,000 MW power plant program. To support the government’s program, Krakatau Steel plans to set up a consortium to supply the products to power plant project developers.

Dadang Danusiri, director for marketing of PT Krakatau Steel Tbk was quoted by ‘Kontan’ as saying that the company is ready to support the government’s program. “The steel products for the projects will be supplied by our subsidiary firm PT Krakatau Wajatama, he said.
