Indonesia investment agency says 226 power projects in construction phase

The government is currently embarking on major infrastructure projects as a move to counter economic slowdown and boost Indonesia’s economy in the medium to long-run. The National Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) Chairman Franky Sibarani said among infrastructure projects that are being carried out, power plant projects have progressed quite well.

Sibarani said as many as 226 power plant projects worth Rp18.4 trillion are in construction phase. He noted based on BKPM data, the realized power plant projects are among the realized infrastructure projects in the first semester.
