PLN to sign deal with Krakatau Steel for transmission materials supply

The Indonesian government is planning to develop 27,000 kilometers long of power transmissions to support the government’s plan to develop 35,000 megawatts of power plants in the next five years.

Vice President Jusuf Kalla said during a limited cabinet meeting on Tuesday (Aug. 25) that the government wants state electricity company PT PLN to source its materials from state owned steel maker PT Krakatau Steel Tbk.
