Institute for Essential Service Reform (IESR) executive director Fabby Tumiwa is calling on the government to make a large-scale solar cell power project to reduce energy costs.
“The cost of solar-powered energy has dropped in recent years. The problem in Indonesia is the existing regulations don’t make it easier for such a low-cost energy source to be implemented. We should make a large-scale project, for example a massive 50×10 MW solar panel project. It would reduce the costs,” he told reporters on the sidelines of a nuclear energy event on Sunday.
