PLN’s subsidiary plans to build coal fired power plant in Banten

PT Pembangkitan Jawa Bali (PJB), a subsidiary of state utility company PT PLN, plans to develop a coal-fired power plant in Serang, Banten in the western tip of Java Island, with capacity of 2 x 1000 megawatt (MW) or 2,000 MW.

Director for Human Resources and Administration of PJB Trilaksiko Sunu was quoted by that the power plant’s total cost is estimated to reach US$2 billion or around Rp 26 trillion.
