Amcorp looks for venture into green energy sector in Indonesia

Amcorp Properties Bhd, which looks to explore new prospects for renewable energy business in Indonesia, has successfully commissioned its 10.25MW solar power plant, the largest grid-connected solar farm in the country, in Gemas.

The Gemas power plant has a power purchase agreement with Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB) for 21 years at a feed-in tariff of 87.4 sen/kWh.

Completed within a time frame of four months, the solar plant is installed with 41,076 solar panels, generating an average of 1 million kilowatt-hour of electricity monthly since it started operation in January this year.
