JICA Issues $147.47M in Development Loans to Indonesia

The Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) has agreed to provide Indonesia up to 10,142 million yen ($147.47 million) in development loans for two electricity generating projects and one water resource management project.

The agreement was signed by representatives of JICA and the Indonesian government in Jakarta last week, a JICA official statement said on Monday.

The loans include 1,727 million yen for the Indramayu Coal-Fired Power Plant Project with state utility firm PT PLN as the executing agency, and another 5,104 million yen for the Tulehu Geothermal Power Plant Project, also with PT PLN as the executing agency.
