IPP Needs Gov’t Commitment For Fast Track Licensing

JAKARTA—Independent power producers (IPP) called for the government’s commitments to help out a licensing process on fast track program (FTP) which is targeting to produce 10,000 megawatt in phase 2.

Ismoyo Argo, Head of Business Relations of PT Supreme Energy, said today there are geothermal power plant (PLTP) projects which are still constrained by forestry license. The Company has not yet received the license from the Ministry of Forestry.

In fact, the project has been incorporated into the memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources with the Ministry of Forestry.
