PLN to Build CNG for Power Plants

JAKARTA—Investing around US$192 million, The State Electricity Company (Limited) or PT PLN plans to build five units of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) storage in a power plant.

The Division Head of Gas and Fuel Suryadi Mardjoeki says those five CNG storage units will be built in several already-in-operation plants.

The five plants namely are PLTG Jakabaring, South Sumatra, PLTG Grati, East Java, PLTG Sei Gelam, South Sumatra, PLTG Muara Tawar, West Java, and Tambaklorok power plant in Central Java.”All five will be in operation this year,” said Suryadi, Tuesday (1/22).
