POSCO Energy First Exports Its Fuel Cell Power Plant

POSCO Energy (CEO: Oh Chang-kwan) will construct a fuel cell power plant in Indonesia as its first overseas fuel cell project. The project will build a bridgehead in overseas market in 5 years after it initiated the fuel cell business in 2007.

POSCO Energy held the groundbreaking ceremony of the fuel cell power plant on September 11 at Ancol Dreamland in Jakarta, Indonesia. The ceremony was attended by about 100 officials and industry executives, including Minister Pak Yeong-seok at Korean Embassy in Indonesia, Director General Maritje at Indonesian Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry, President Rochmat Gobel of METI, Director Choi Seong-ho of Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) Indonesia, and CEO Oh Chang-kwan of POSCO Energy.
