Indonesia to Generate 135 Gigawatts of Electricity by 2025

TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta:The Indonesian government is targeting to generate 135,000 megawatts of electricity by 2025. In order to achieve the target, an additional 90,000 megawatts must be generated between 2011 and 2025.

“Within the six corridors of the Master Plan for the Acceleration and Expansion of Indonesia’s Economic Development (MP3EI) the demand for 90,000 megawatts of electricity by 2025 has been mentioned,” said the Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry’s director-general of electricity, Jarman, during the International Infrastructure Conference at the Jakarta Convention Center on Wednesday, August 29.
