Liquid natural gas and power market developments in Indonesia

liquid natural gas (LNG) with huge conventional and unconventional gas reserves. However, the government faces increasing pressure to use its natural gas resources domestically to support a more sustainable economic growth. As a result, the government is aggressively developing LNG import/receiving infrastructure to enable the wider use of both domestic and imported LNG. Several large scale import facilities are being implemented together with an additional eight small and medium scale import facilities to serve PLN’s power generation needs.
