Adaro plans USD 4 billion Sumatra power plant

The Jakarta Globe reported that Adaro Energy is planning to build a coal fired power plant in South Sumatra at a cost of USD 3.5 billion.

Mr Garibaldi Thohir president director of Adaro Energy said that the company will invite foreign investors to team up with Adaro to build the plant. Several foreign companies had expressed interest in joining with Adaro to build the power plant. The plant is expected to generate 1,200 MW of power.
