No New Diesel Power Plants Allowed In Indonesia

The Indonesian government will institute a policy banning the use of diesel fuel oil for new power plants. This policy is part of the efficiency movement and fuel conversion that will be announced later this month.

“In order to conserve fuel, the Government will enact a policy banning the use of diesel fuel for new power plants in Indonesia,” said Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Jero Wacik after the inauguration of Rural Electrification Program in Bangli district, Bali on Saturday (12-05-2012).
