Energy demand is ever increasing. On the other hand, the need to lessen the impacts of global warming is clear. General Electric’s (GE) gas machine technology provides power generation solution uniquely optimized to Indonesia’s situation, decreasing the environmental impacts at the same time.

According to Green Paper on Strategy of Economic and Fiscal Policy for Climate Change Mitigation in Indonesia by Indonesian Ministry of Finance, the total number of Indonesia’s energy needs is growing at seven per cent each year. Unfortunately, up to now 40 per cent of Indonesia’s power generation still utilizes diesel engines. These diesel power plants are deployed in rural areas with difficulties to plug into existing power grid.
